| These three musicians form one of the most successful Dutch jazz groups of today, centered around not only a brilliant saxophone player and composer, but also one of the leading Dutch artists in jazz since the nineties. Yuri Honing played and/or recorded with artists such as Pat Metheny, Paul Bley, Charlie Haden and Vince Mendoza, but also with renowned Dutch colleagues such as Misha Mengelberg and Ernst Reijseger. | The rest of the trio consists of equally remarkable musicians/composers: bassist Tony Overwater and drummer Joost Lijbaart. While touring all over the world, the Yuri Honing Trio have built a unique style, based on jazz, pop and non-western musical traditions.
